Intro to Word

Microsoft® Word is an application designed for word processing and document creation. Some of the many types of documents that can be created with Word include letters, letterhead, resumes, flyers, brochures and more. In this course, students will learn how to create and edit documents. Student must be familiar with how to use a computer. This class takes approximately 4 hours.

Intro to Powerpoint

Microsoft® PowerPoint is an application that allows you to create dynamic, interesting presentations that can include images, narrations and videos. In this course, students will learn how to create and edit eye-catching presentations. Student must be familiar with how to use a computer. A basic knowledge of Microsoft® Word is strongly recommended. This class takes approximately 4 hours.

This introductory course, designed for consumers of any age, will teach you the basics of blogging and getting started with the WordPress content management system. Topics covered include choosing a domain name and host, setting up the site, composing and publishing posts and pages, using categories and tags, creating links, working with images and video, using widgets and plug-ins, modifying the look and design, creating navigation menus, and more. Additional instruction is available covering monetization through affiliate programs.
